Performance
Will Nudge slow down my store?
No. The Nudge widget is under 5KB gzipped and loads asynchronously — it will not block page rendering or affect your Lighthouse or Core Web Vitals scores.
Theme Compatibility
Does Nudge work with my theme?
Nudge works with all Online Store 2.0 themes — including Dawn, Sense, Refresh, Craft, and most third-party themes. It uses Shopify's App Embeds system, which requires OS 2.0.
If you're on a legacy (non-OS 2.0) theme, contact support for manual installation assistance.
Preview
Can I see what the notification looks like before it goes live?
Yes. The Nudge dashboard includes a Live Preview that updates in real time as you change templates, colors, fonts, and position settings. No need to publish changes to preview them.

Is there a free trial?
Yes — all paid plans include a 7-day free trial with no charge until the trial ends.
Mobile
Do notifications show on mobile devices?
Yes, by default. Mobile display can be toggled off independently from desktop, and mobile position is configured separately. See Mobile Display →.
Data & Privacy
Does Nudge display real customer names?
Not by default. Anonymous Mode is on by default, so notifications show "Someone from {city}" instead of real names. You can disable this in message settings if you prefer to show first names. See Data Handling →.
What if I have no recent orders?
Nudge requires orders within your data window to display notifications. On the Free plan that's 7 days. If your store is new or has no recent sales, place a test order to verify the setup.
