Installation

Get Nudge running on your Shopify store in minutes.

Step 1: Install from the Shopify App Store​

  1. Go to the Nudge listing on the Shopify App Store
  2. Click Add app
  3. Review the requested permissions and click Install app
  4. You'll be automatically redirected to the Nudge dashboard

Step 2: Enable the App Embed in Your Theme​

Nudge uses Shopify's App Embeds system, which means you need to activate it in your theme before notifications will appear on your storefront.

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes
  2. Click Customize on your active theme
  3. In the left sidebar, click App embeds
  4. Find Nudge in the list and toggle it on
  5. Click Save in the top-right corner
Why is this step needed?

Shopify requires merchants to explicitly enable app embeds for security and performance. This gives you full control over what runs on your storefront.

Step 3: You're Ready​

Once the embed is enabled, return to the Nudge dashboard. Your store is now connected and ready to display notifications.

Supported Themes​

Nudge works with all Online Store 2.0 themes, including Dawn, Sense, Refresh, and any third-party OS 2.0 theme. If you're on an older theme, contact support for assistance.
